    SAISON 1

    Au début de leur histoire, tous les opposent. Haley est une élève modèle, elle est amie avec Lucas, le demi-frère de Nathan. Celui-ci a cherche à séduire Haley en lui demandant de devenir sa tutrice afin d'embêter son demi-frère. Haley refuse car elle déteste l’attitude de Nathan. Elle cède par la suite mais pose ses conditions, elle lui demande d'être plus sympathique avec Lucas et que ce dernier ne doit pas être mis au courant de la situation.

     

    En peu de temps Lucas découvre l’histoire.

    Nathan et Haley deviennent très vite amis et au fil des semaines Haley tombe amoureuse de Nathan. Mais Haley doit avouer à Lucas se qu’elle ressent, cette discussion se finie en règlement de compte et il finit par lui demander de faire attention à elle. 

     

    Haley et Nathan se dispute à cause de Brooke. Haley dit à Nathan qu’elle arrête d’être sa tutrice et lui crie au visage que son demi-frère avait raison de lui conseiller de se méfier de lui.

     

    Brooke essaye d’arranger les choses en organisant un jeu pour les deux amoureux mais le jeu se finit mal, ils repartent plus fâchés qu’ils ne l’étaient déjà. Peu de temps après, Nathan vient s’expliquer directement avec Haley et ils finissent par s’embrasser.

    Lors du dernier épisode, ils se marient ce qui surprend tous le monde.


     

    SAISON 2

    Haley et Nathan sont de jeunes mariés. Cependant tous n’est pas parfait, en effet, Debbie et Dan n’acceptent par leur mariage alors que les parents de Haley leur ont donnés leur bénédiction en quelques minutes.

    Haley commence à s’épanouir dans la chanson grâce à Chris Keller, mais celui-ci va tous chambouler dans sa vie. 

     
    Haley décide de partir en tournée avec les Wreckers, Nathan est perdu, il lui pose un ultimatum: il lui demande de choisir entre la tournée et son couple! Haley fait face à Nathan et part en tournée. Celui-ci vit très mal la situation et se faire influencer par son père pour qu’il entame une demande de divorce.
    Haley et Nathan frôlent le divorce. Haley revient à Tree Hill lors du dernier épisode de la saison 2.

     

     

     

    SAISON 3

    Au retour de Haley, Nathan est toujours décidé à divorcer. Haley reste et s’impose auprès de lui car elle ne veut pas divorcer.

    Au fur et à mesure des épisodes Haley essaye de se racheter aux yeux de Nathan.

    Nathan et Haley se réconcilient et passent la nuit ensemble chez Nathan. Nathan part très tôt laissant Haley seule. Haley se fait surprendre par Dan qui a auparavant subtilisé le mot d’amour laissé par Nathan sur l’oreiller. Par la suite Nathan apprend qu’Haley ne prenait pas la pilule la nuit où ils ont couché ensemble. Son père en profite pour lui monter la tête en lui faisant croire qu'Haley veut tomber enceinte. Nathan s’excuse auprès d'Haley pour ces accusations qui s’avèrent fausses.

     

    Lors d’une journée ordinaire au lycée, Haley se fait prendre en otage par un élève fou, Jimmy. Nathan part sauver Haley mais reste coincé avec elle car Jimmy ne veut pas les laisser partir.

    Dan tue son frère, Keith, dans les couloirs du lycée de Tree Hill, après cette tragédie Nathan réfléchit et comprend qu’il désire vivre avec Haley. 

    Nathan et Haley renouvellent leurs vœux devant leurs amis et leurs familles.
