Congrats on wrapping “One Tree Hill”! It was a great finale.

Stephen- Thank you. I was really proud of the way that they ended it. I was actually a little nervous because they stuck kind of the lightness that Tyler [Hilton] and I had in the last episode and so they were talking that it might not make it to the show because of having to cut it down. But we found out later that they were going to do the longer season finale and that every body was going to be in there. And you know, it was fun, and light, and we really enjoyed shooting that stuff. Mark [Schwahn] didn't want the days to end in the last episode. He's like, “Hey, why don't you guys jump over the bushes! Hey, we'll have them fall down this way!” We just kept shooting different stuff. We had a lot of fun. So I'm glad I made it in there.And then the way they cut everything from the years before, that was pretty cool to see all that. Especially because I came in the middle, so I missed a lot of that. I was learning stuff in the last episode which was cool. The thing that struck me the most was seeing how people aged from back ten years ago. Some of them didn't age a bit! Sophia [Bush] looked exactly the same. And James [Lafferty] was just such a little boy. And now he's a grown man! With facial hair. Good for him. (Laughs)

Stephen - Merci. J'ai été très fier que ça se termine de cette façon.  J'étais en fait un peu nerveux parce qu'ils étaient coincé sur ce Tyler [Hilton] et moi avions dans le dernier épisode et donc ils parlaient que ça ne serait peut-être pas dans la série parce qu'il fallait couper. Mais nous avons découvert plus tard qu'ils allaient diffuser le series finale en version longue et que tout le monde serait dedans. Et vous savez, c'était fun, et léger, et nous avons vraiment apprécié le tourner. Mark [Schwahn] ne voulait pas que les journées se terminent dans le dernier épisode. Il était genre, "Hey, pourquoi vous ne sauteriez pas sur les buissons les gars ! Hey, nous les aurons qui tombe de cette façon !" On n'a pas arrêté de tourner différentes choses. On s'est beaucoup amusé. Donc je suis content de l'avoir fait. Et puis la façon dont ils ont coupé toutes les choses des années précédentes, c'était plutôt sympa de voir tout ça. Spécialement parce que je suis arrivé au milieu, donc j'ai manqué beaucoup de choses. J'ai appris des choses dans le dernier épisode ce qui est cool. La chose qui m'a frappé le plus c'est de voir comme les gens ont vieilli en 10 ans. Quelqu'uns n'ont pas vieilli du tout ! Sophia [Bush] était exactement la même. Et James [Lafferty] était juste un petit garçon. Et maintenant c'est un grand garçon ! Avec de la barbe. C'est bien pour lui. (Rires)
 

You don't look that different either from when you joined in season four.

Stephen- I know, my little baby face! My mom calls me baby face. It's very embarrassing.

Vous n'êtes pas différent de quand vous avez rejoint la série dans la Saison 4.

Stephen - Je sais, mon petit visage de bébé ! Ma mère m'appelle visage de bébé. C'est très embarrassant.
 

I agree it was a fun finale to watch. I loved all the group moments in the end.

Stephen- Yeah it was really great! Again Mark Schwahn, everyone on the writers side, and bringing Gavin [Degraw], of course, was such a blessed thing. The way they brought him in and worked him into the show, and everyone singing together-we really had so much fun. It was a fun energy. A little emotional, but very cool.

Stephen - Ouais c'était vraiment bien ! Encore Mark Schwahn, tout le monde du côté des auteurs, et ramener Gavin [DeGraw], bien sûr, a été une telle bénédiction. La façon dont ils l'ont apporté et travaillé avec lui dans la série, et tout le monde chantant ensemble, on s'est vraiment amusé. C'était une super énergie. Un peu émotionnel, mais très cool.
 

It was great to watch how they teamed you up with Tyler Hilton this season. How was that?

Stephen- What a blessing that guy is! I mean, Tyler Hilton, I am his number one over here. He pretty much ended on the show right when I came on. We flipped flop a little bit, but I never met him before. We bumped into each other a couple random times in LA and I heard so many good things about the guy, and then sure enough this last season he shows up and is just like the silver lining to the show. A blessing. The energy he brings to set, the character he plays, it's so great. So spot on. It's so perfect for him. And it was so much fun! I was so excited that I got to work with him actually the most. We hit it off right away. We just loved a lot of the stuff we got to do.

C'était bien de voir comment ils ont formé une équipe avec toi et Tyler Hilton cette saison. Comment c'était ?

Stephen - Quel ange c'est ce gars ! Je veux dire, Tyler Hilton, je suis son premier fan. Il a presque terminé dans la série quand je suis arrivé. On a balancé un peu, mais je ne l'avais jamais rencontré avant. On s'est vu quelques fois par hasard à LA et j'ai entendu tant de choses bien sur ce gars, et puis bien sûr il est venu cette dernière saison et il est juste la lueur d'espoir dans la série. Une bénédiction. L'énergie qu'il apporte sur le tournage, le personnage qu'il joue, c'est super. Il est dans la place. C'est tellement parfait pour lui. Et c'était tellement fun ! J'étais si excité de devoir travaillé le plus avec lui. On a connecté tout de suite. On a juste adoré beaucoup de choses qu'on a du faire.
 

From all your seasons on the show, what was your favorite story line that you had with Chase?

Stephen- I really appreciated the stuff with Chuck. The big brother stuff. I didn't really know what to expect at first, I wasn't sure where they were going to go with it, but now looking back on it all, that was some good stuff. We had a good time together. And he was such a little rugrat when we first started work. He was always running around. I had to shake him and be like “Focus buddy.” And now he's grown up and is such a talented kid. We had a lot of fun together. The storyline worked.

De toutes les saisons de la série, quelle a été la storyline préférée que tu aies eu avec Chase ?

Stephen - J'ai vraiment apprécié les choses avec Chuck. L'histoire du grand fère. Je ne savais pas vraiment à quoi m'attendre au début, je n'étais pas sur où ils allaient avec ça, mais maintenant en regardant en arrière dessus, c'était des choses bien. On a eu de bons moments ensemble. Et il était un si petit gamin quand on a commencé à travailler la première fois. Il était tout le temps en train de courir autour. Je devais le secouer et être du genre "Concentration mon pote." Et maintenant il a grandi et il est un enfant si talentueux. On s'est beaucoup amusé ensemble. La storyline a fonctionné.
 

I really enjoyed that as well. And it was so great to see him in a different way-as a mentor and out of the bar.

Stephen- Yeah it was nice we got Chase out from behind the bar. You could see that he has some legs!

J'ai vraiment adoré ça également. Et c'était si bien de le voir d'une différente façon comme un mentor et en dehors du bar.

Stephen - Ouais c'était sympa que nous sortions Chase de derrière le bar. On a pu voir qu'il avait des jambes !
 

“One Tree Hill” has so many young and dedicated fans who really look up to the actors. What is a lesson you always carry with you that you would like to pass along to them?

Stephen- For me it's always just staying true to yourself. I'm always so appreciative of the fans and the way they respond to the show and it's just humbling. It's just be a humble guy all the time. Stay true to who you are and not try to be anybody else. Just be real.

One Tree Hill a tant de fans jeunes et fidèles qui admirent vraiment les acteurs. Quelle leçon transportes tu toujours avec toi  et voudrais leur transmettre ?

Stephen - Pour moi ça a toujours était de rester fidèle à soi-même. J'ai toujours été si reconnaissant envers les fans et la façon dont ils régissent sur la série et c'est juste salutaire. C'est juste être un homme humble tout le temps. Restez fidèle à vous même et n'essayez pas d'être quelqu'un d'autre. Soyez juste réels.
